September 10, 2019  New York, NY – Don Wood has joined the Advisory Council of Arcus Partners, a financial technology, big data and cloud services provider. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Over thirty decades, Mr. Wood has worked for both financial institutions and financial technology companies – including FIS, SunGard, M2Card and IQ Financial – where he managed high-profile operational, technology and product initiatives. He was primarily responsible for delivering a range of software products, services and solutions for wholesale and retail banking operations, insurance companies, asset managers, hedge funds and corporations. He has also advised other companies in the finance and technology sectors, serving as a member of their advisory boards and/or serving as a member of their boards of directors.

Before retiring from full-time employment at the end of 2018, Mr. Wood was the corporate chief information officer (CIO) for Fidelity Information Systems (FIS) with global responsibility for numerous programs across the company, including the creation and deployment of the FIS Cloud for internal and customer use.

Previous to that role, he was the CIO and senior vice president of operations for the Institutional and Wholesale division of FIS, responsible for all data center, infrastructure and back-office functions across these businesses. He provided direct guidance to the business and technical managers, determined and refined specific growth areas across this landscape, and provided industry and technology-driven input into the continued expansion of the business.
